A Family Tradition Dedicated to Clients
A Family Tradition Dedicated to Clients
Since 1973, Lavoie et Lavoie Notaires has been supporting families and businesses with their legal needs, emphasizing a human, professional, and rigorous service. Rooted in the heart of Laval, the practice has evolved with the times while staying true to its mission: to protect and guide clients at every stage of their lives.
Can you summarize the history of your firm?
Lavoie et Lavoie Notaires has been practicing notarial law for over 50 years. In 2013, Me Marie-France Lavoie took over the office from her uncle, Me Réal Lavoie, and partnered with her father, Me Martial Lavoie, to carry on the family tradition. Since then, the team has grown and now includes several notaries serving an expanding client base across various areas of law.
How many employees do you have?
Our team is made up of 11 people, including notaries and legal assistants. Together, we combine our expertise and cultural diversity to deliver services that are both professional and human, tailored to a wide range of clients.
What are your main areas of practice?
We work in real estate law, family law, corporate law, and also handle non-contentious proceedings.
What are you most proud of?
Our client service, which is at the heart of our identity and reputation. Calls are always answered directly by our receptionist, and our notaries take the time to explain each step in a clear and accessible way. The loyalty of our clients is built on this accessibility, the quality of our services, and the trust established over several generations.
Why did you choose to establish your office at 3131 St-Martin Blvd. in Laval?
Originally, the office was located near the bank, which facilitated operations. While proximity to the bank is less critical today thanks to digitization, we chose to centralize our activities at 3131, a location that has remained central and now benefits from the strong development of the neighborhood. With the new buildings and services that have been added, the area has become even more strategic and accessible for our clients.
In conclusion
With over 50 years of history and a strong family succession, the firm has grown in step with the evolving needs of its clients. Today, Lavoie et Lavoie Notaires stands out for the diversity of its services, the strength of its partnerships, and above all for client service that is both human and accessible. Staying true to its roots while looking to the future, the team continues to accompany clients through every important stage of their lives.
